Review: Luton Hoo

What?

The Grade I listed, 18th century mansion house at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The 228-bedroom, luxurious property stands proudly within 1,065 acres of magnificent grounds, largely landscaped by Capability Brown.

Where?

On the border of Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire.

Excellent transport links between St. Pancras and Luton Parkway railway stations mean we are easily reached from London or Cambridge. And as one of the most convenient hotels in Luton for accessing Luton airport, we are within easy reach of cities across Europe.

The Vibes?

Behind the imposing grandeur of Luton Hoo, the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming.

Highlights Of The Hotel?

Highlights of the hotel include the fine-dining Wernher Restaurant, Adam’s Brasserie restaurant, ESPA spa and wellness facilities, a 7,107-yard, par 73 golf course and club house, and a separate private events venue, Warren Weir. Luton Hoo is just a ten-minute drive from London Luton Airport and 30 minutes’ drive from central London.

The extensive grounds of the hotel can be used for a wide variety of teambuilding activities, from clay pigeon shooting, archery and falconry to raft building, canoeing and water zorbing. Luton Hoo also offers the Bear Grylls Survival Academy experience where team members can tackle fire lighting, erecting shelters, Land Rover pulling, smoke and rescue signals, rope and knot skills and some ‘interesting’ foraged food.

Overnight stays with dinner and breakfast at Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa is from £135pp based on two sharing.

Our Thoughts?

Our experience was lovely from the beginning with a special dedicated parking space for us right outside the hotel.

We then went in and were shown to our suite which was just gorgeous ( photo’s don’t do it justice)

We then went out for a walk towards the spa which is in another building. The hotel has it’s own taxi service which can bring you anywhere on the grounds.

The Spa area is gorgeous and was very chilled.

We then came back and chilled for a bit and then got ready for our dinner at Wernher Restaurant. Wernher has two AA Rosette’s.

The meal was so delicious with dishes such as Confit duck leg terrine with toasted brioche, tomato jam and peanut praline and Pan roasted sea bream with spiced potato, carrot and onion bhaji, sweet potato puree, spinach, coriander oil.

The next morning we had a full english which youcan never beat!

This venue is perfect for Team Building, Christmas/Summer Parties and Weddings.
